DON'T DO IT!! Wednesday, December 29, 2004
I purchased a basket from this company on December 13, 2004. They stated that it was guaranteed Christmas delivery. Today is December 29th and my friend has still not received the package. So much for Christmas delivery and the element of surprise. I
emailed the company and I was sent a standard email notifying me that a customer service rep would contact me within 24 hours. It never happened. I called the company and to rectify the problem they credited me the shipping charges. Woopy. I felt they should have refunded me completely. Oh well. Live and learn.

Worst Customer Service and Delivery I've Ever ExperiencedTuesday, December 28, 2004
I ordered this on the 16th of December for delivery to Maryland. I can't tell you how the packaging nor the contents are because it still hasn't arrived...and it's nearly New Year's! When I called Wine Country to ensure that the package would be delivered by Christmas (as promised by both Amazon and Wine Country), I was assured that the shipment had already taken place. It had been processed by the company but hadn't reached FedEx and would NOT reach FedEx for several days. When I called Amazon to find out what was going on, I was told that the Delivery Date was a "soft" one, and that the vendor still had until the end of the year to deliver the product...and not by the Christmas date (traditionally the 25th of December) as promised. I'm hoping for an Easter delivery at this point.
When I first read the negative reviews given by others, I thought... how bad can they be? The company has 9 days and there is express shipping...which was paid for on another package to Hawai'i. I can honestly say that they have far exceeded my expectations on how bad a company can be. Do not order from this company unless you have 3-4 weeks to wait for a package to get across the street! The negative reviews that are posted are well within a reasonable range of complaints. Wine Country literally could care less if they get your package to its destination on the schedule that they promise!

WC Gift Baskets is the most disorganized company and I will never order from them again. COMPLAINT #1 - I placed a huge $5000 fax order which was never entered into the computer by WCGB. They sent me a confirmation email that fax was received but I had to contact them a week before XMAS as I had not heard anything about my order. Of course, order was not there. Customer service said that fax dept was somewhere else and customer service was not allowed to touch fax dept paperwork. They promised to call back which of course they did not. I then had to call in 40 gift baskets over the phone as this was my only option as XMAS was only a week away and we had already made our basket choices. We also had to pay the extra $10 for expedited fedex service.
COMPLAINT #2 - A basket that they promised for XMAS delivery did not arrive by XMAS. I call customer service to get a credit as they put the word "GUARANTEED BY CHRISTMAS" in their order confirmation email to you. Anyway, they rep states that they can only offer back the shipping to me as I will be receiving the basket anyway. I state that basket is late and is not useful anymore as I was going to bring to a holiday party. They pretty much say too bad and refund of shipping is all they can offer. This is absolutley HORRENDOUS customer service. They just care about the money they make and not about us customers. I told them that they would get the shipping refunded to them by their carrier anyway and WCGB is not losing anything. Rep had nothing to say about this as she knew this was true. They are not offering their customers a single dime off their bottom line. After 30 mins of intense arguing, I finally got them to offer me 5% back which is not much. What kind of company is this! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

"non-pareils and chocolate cable cars"
This assortment was missing the above items in quote. It also took several weeks to arrive and customer service was automated and not helpful as to my gift tracking. Other than the items listed in the quote, the price I payed for this tower was above the quality or quantity of what they promised. I would advise buying this item elsewhere and from a more reputable retailer.

Buyer beware! There were NO chocolate inside!!Monday, June 28, 2004
I ordered this for my father-in-law for father's day gift and arrived on a week after the father's day. Processing the order is VERY SLOW. I was embarrassed that there were no gift from us on father's day party. And the gift was arrived a week after the father's day. When it arrived, my father-in-law opened this Ghirardelli tower in front of other relatives, there are NO chocolate inside. How dissapointed! I already told everybody that inside the package will be many chocolate from Ghirardelli. I am so embarrased and dissapointed and now I am very angry. I want my money back and will never order from them again. Don't waste your money on this. I want to give them MINUS 5 stars.
